Snapchat Security Settings Update

23rd June 2017 By Admin Linda

We have received the following information from the Safeguarding Team which we would like to draw to your attention:

Snapchat has developed a new feature called Snapmaps which allows users to see the location of other users of snapchat. Many children have a large number of “friends” on their accounts who they probably do not know well, and could be accidentally sharing their location.

We would ask that parents check their child’s privacy settings if they allow their child to use Snapchat.

Full details are provide in the UK Safer Internet centre blog at www.saferinternet.org.uk

You can download further information about  the Snapchat settings by clicking the document below:

Christmas Present Appeal

23rd November 2016 By Admin Linda

On behalf of local children supported by Social Services (based in Seaham).

We are asking parents to buy an extra present, wrap it in Christmas wrapping paper and place a tag on the front indicating who the present is suitable for eg. girl between the age of 7 – 8 or boy 13+.

These gifts can then be brought into school and placed under our Christmas tree. They will then be collected at the end of term and the presents will be delivered to to the children on Christmas morning.

If you require further information please contact the school.
